Buyer Beware

 

Bought the JVM 1870 in 2004, had it installed when we moved in in Jan 2005.  Reasonably happy with it until the magnetron died on Sunday, July 12th, 5 days ago.

Reasonably happy  - altho the accompanying documentation did not match the microwave

Purchased this microwave, new on 7 Jan, installed 10 Jan, and all worked except it would not heat anything!!

Looks nice, fills the space, which has been empty for over two weeks

Save your $$$$$$

 

Well have had it 12 months. We used it for popcorn and warming a few things once in awhile. Went to use it and no longer heated anything up and made some strange noises. Called GE to repair and ended up with a bill for $192.82. Somehow the fan inside...

The stainless steal look is very nice. Definitely a beautiful looking machine

It breaks easily...poor quality

Bought one it lasted 8 months and just died.

It looks good

quality and only lasts 1 to 4 years. GE doesn't offer any help

The inside door RUSTED!

 

We replaced our Kitchenaid microwave-convection with this GE after an ice storm and subsequent power surge fried the circuits. I decided I could live without convection (although was tempted by GE Advantium briefly.

Looks nice; turntable can be disabled; good for popcorn
