Just a touch lean compared to the very best

If you were after a floorstander for less than £500, these KEFs were the pick of the bunch. They have now been discontinued.

The iQ5s are stunning – the best pair of KEF speakers we’ve heard in years.

I like a speaker with class, and the iQ5 certainly has that. If you're not well off for space (or cash), don't intend to wake the neighbours, and set high standards for audio reproduction, I strongly recommend you audition these little KEFs.

Stunning clarity of sound without any sign of strain. Wonderful depth and balanced repro across the frequency range.

Minor one, I would have preferred a genuine wood finish (veneer) rather than plastic. However I must admit that it is a good plastic finish unlike some makes that I have seen.

Look and sound great

A bit top heavy - could be a problem with small kids pulling them over (and they're pretty heavy).

PURE QUILITY

Very focused sound with good bottom end definition in my small lounge. Any larger and the levels would be overwhelming. Superb stereo image which is improving as the speakers bed in and warm up slightly from their initially over clinical reproduction.
