Small, portable Digimax i5 suffers from short battery life and low photo quality compared with other cameras' photos.

Useful, broad feature set; large, bright LCD; ultraportable; solid build; voice-recording mode; included text-recognition software; strong video-recording features; large internal memory.

Slow performance; below-average picture quality; not as intuitive to use as competition; not suited for wide-angle shooting.

Its feature set is both competitive and interesting, and it has a top-notch 2.5-inch LCD, but the 5-megapixel Samsung Digimax i5 can't keep pace with the competition when it comes to speed and photo quality.

While the Digimax i5 is a very capable camera, there are better cameras out there for your hard earned money. If Samsung addresses some of the cons listed below I think they'd have a real hit on their hands. Maybe next time?
