Leica's given its classic M series rangefinder a new quiet shutter and touchscreen controls. Is it stealthy success or an overpriced peacock?
Opinie eksperta : Amy Davies (trustedreviews.com)
Leica has introduced a new rangefinder camera to its legendary M series. Rangefinders use a style of focusing that was first introduced over a century ago, with focus achieved by converging the views taken from two windows mounted on the front. Most...
Opinie eksperta : Paul Burrows (techradar.com)
Leica's latest version of the M10 rangefinder is a color version of the Monochrom's 40MP sensor, making it a more appealing all-rounder.
40MP resolution delivers a competitive image quality Classic styling and handling has enduring appeal High resale values will help offset purchase price
No video and limited digital functionality Rangefinder focusing won’t be to everybody’s taste Can only use with prime lenses
The M10-R is still essentially a prestige camera for the purists or somebody who simply likes to do things differently, but it is also now right in the mix in terms of the image quality standards being set by the leaders in mirrorless cameras. The...
Opinie eksperta : Jim Fisher (pcmag.com)
The Leica M10-R puts a brand-new, 40MP image sensor into an absolutely classic body design, resulting in a compelling camera for rangefinder devotees.
Opinie eksperta : Jim Fisher (pcmag.com)
The Leica M10 Monochrom is the dream camera for devotees of classic black-and-white photography.
Opinie eksperta : Phil Hall Matt Golowczynski (techradar.com)
For those who like to keep things understated
Ultra-quiet shutter ; Beautiful build quality ; Touchscreen limited but responsive ; Excellent raw image quality
Rangefinder focusing not for everyone ; No IS for still images ; Default JPEG quality could be better ; AWB can be a little too neutral
As a variant of the M10, the M10-P isn't dramatically different, save for the quieter shutter, touchscreen control, and cosmetic differences. However, the premium you pay over the M10 is quite substantial, and it's a luxury not everyone will be able to...
Opinie eksperta : Jim Fisher (pcmag.com)
Leica continues its LCD-free rangefinder camera series with the M10-D, which adds a faux film advance lever to completely sell its retro look.
Opinie eksperta : Jim Fisher (pcmag.com)
The Leica M10-P is a more discrete version of the M10, with less obvious branding, a quieter shutter, and a new touch LCD.
Opinie eksperta : Lori Grunin (cnet.com)
The quietest you can get without resorting to electronic shutter.
Opinie eksperta : Rod Lawton (techradar.com)
The digital rebirth of the classic Leica M
Expanded ISO range ; Improved viewfinder ; Wi-Fi connectivity
No image stabilization
The Leica M10 looks to be a solid successor to this impressive line of cameras. More megapixels would have been nice, but the thinner body, bigger viewfinder and higher ISO range are all welcome.
