G.Skill quality and reliability

 

Next to no performance boost, as I expected. I needed the extra ram for heavy applications like Premiere and After Effects. So far so good!

Went from 8GB of 1600mhz G.Skill memory to this set and set it to XMP 2 profile. Everything was automatic and timings were set to spec ; Really really looks nice. Good build quality and black PCB

Very happy with all the G.Skill memory I've purchased. Haven't had a bad stick yet, and they are fast?

GREAT timings at 2133: 9-11-11. Price is good. Performance is fantastic. XMP profile 2 (9-11-11-1T) works

Probably going to buy another set of these to run quad channel in the next few months.

Fast, never given me any trouble. Can handle ram intensive games such as Ark: Survival Evolved pretty well. They look quite cool too

Great Stix for water-coolers?

 

These are good stix I had to return only for fitting issues although I am less than thrilled about the voltage jump with XMP. In summary, if they fit, then enjoy them. If anything (like a modern CPU with the IMC on the CPU) is too hot, run them at...

1. typical G.Skill quality and performance ; 2. accurate XMP profile ; 3. look cool ; 4. was able to Jam these two stix into the outer DIMM slots of a board using the Noctua D14

1. heatsinks too tall for my Noctua D-15 air-cooler even when the red part is removed with the screws ; 2. didn't notice the XMP voltage raises from 1.5 to 1.6 volts - this can make a 4790k hotter
